INTRODUCTION
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work with outside contract manufacturers to enhance the quality of our Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCAs). The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize manufacturing processes, and work with vendors to ensure high-quality standards for PCAs used in our cutting-edge products. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement process improvements for PCA assembly to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance product reliability.
Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Design and oversee testing protocols to validate PCA performance and reliability under various conditions.
Partner with R&D, production, and test engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support new product introductions (NPI).
Evaluate and recommend equipment, fixtures, or tooling upgrades to improve PCA manufacturing precision and throughput.
Work with suppliers to ensure raw materials and components meet quality specifications.
Address supplier-related quality issues and drive corrective actions.
Requirements:
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
5+ years of engineering experience with testing, RF, analog, digital, mixed signal circuit design, or digital signal processing
Knowledge of printed circuit board fabrication and circuit card assembly, processes, and related industry specifications
Proficiency with root cause corrective action (RCCA) investigations and resolving production issues with suppliers and sub-tier suppliers
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams as well as both internal and external stakeholders
Familiarity with quality standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, J-STD-001, ISO 9001, and AS910
Eligibility to work on Federal contracts that require U.S. Citizenship
