Schedule: M-F, 8-5 (half days on Fridays)

Pay Range: $90k - $100k

Summary

Connect Search is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Milwaukee. This position offers half days on Fridays.


Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching manufacturing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs to determine feasibility
  • Lead and supervise handover of products to series production
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and optimization opportunities while maintaining quality objectives
  • Create and maintain required documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, and cycle time analysis
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout Design, develop, validate, and qualify automated or manual production systems, fixtures, jigs, and other equipment Lead and execute process validation and qualification activities
  • Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services
  • Train and guide staff in new and existing processes, procedures, and equipment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred) and 5+ years of industry experience in a manufacturing engineering role
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment producing electromechanical parts and systems In-depth knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong knowledge of 3D and 2D CAD systems and design (e.g. Creo, AutoCAD, or similar) Experience interfacing with MRP/ERP systems (e.g. SAP or similar)
  • Hands-on experience building small prototypes
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety standards Ability to communicate and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing leads, customers, and suppliers
  • Knowledge and experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP), production part approval process (PPAP), and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Knowledge and experience with Kaizen, Six-Sigma, and Root-Cause Analysis
