Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Reports To: Director of Operations

FLSA Status: Exempt

We're looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements, support production efficiency, and help maintain high standards of safety, quality, and cost control. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Sales.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles and data analysis
  • Support new product introductions and improve existing assembly processes
  • Investigate and resolve production issues; implement root cause and corrective actions
  • Optimize workflows, equipment layouts, and workforce utilization
  • Estimate production times, costs, and staffing needs
  • Develop, document, and refine manufacturing processes and tooling
  • Train production staff on proper assembly methods and process control
  • Ensure safety policies and quality standards are met

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, MRP systems, and statistical tools
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly processes
  • Familiar with soldering, wire crimping, and continuous improvement methods
  • Analytical and hands-on approach to solving production challenges


Additional Info:

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
  • Travel required up to 10% (domestic and international)
  • Typical manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
