Description
Process Development & Optimization- Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes for automotive chain drive systems, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and value stream mapping to optimize production operations.
- Identify and implement automation solutions to improve production efficiency.
Production Support & Troubleshooting- Provide technical support to production teams to resolve process-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Analyze root causes of defects, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
New Product & Process Implementation- Support the launch of new products by developing and validating manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
- Work closely with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless integration of new designs into production.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and PFMEAs.
Quality & Compliance- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with automotive industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and company quality requirements.
- Participate in audits, corrective actions, and process validation activities.
- Monitor and analyze production data to drive improvements in quality and performance.
Cost Reduction & Efficiency Improvements- Identify opportunities for cost savings through process enhancements, material utilization, and supplier collaboration.
- Conduct ROI analysis for capital investments and process improvement projects.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive component production.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Familiarity with PLC programming, automation, and robotics is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with stamping, heat treatment, assembly, and testing of chain drive systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and APQP processes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
