Overview: We are in search of a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our client's production team in Fort Worth, Texas. This pivotal role is crucial in addressing production challenges and offering engineering expertise for the introduction of new products and processes into the manufacturing operations. You will also play a key role in ensuring the seamless integration and support of existing products throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and optimize process design for efficient product flow using cutting-edge engineering and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Research and propose suitable replacements for outdated electronic components.
- Diagnose and resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities and equipment.
- Strategically plan and organize workflow, space, and equipment layout to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation and adapt methods as technologies and equipment evolve.
- Implement value engineering techniques to minimize costs of existing products without compromising quality.
- Evaluate new designs for manufacturability, focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and provide input on make/buy decisions.
- Offer alternative design and manufacturing solutions to meet requirements for performance, quality, schedule, and cost.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve quality and productivity issues throughout product lifecycles.
- Analyze the need for new capital equipment and manage the procurement and implementation process.
- Represent the manufacturing perspective in product and project development teams, establishing requirements collaboratively.
- Identify and assess sources for raw materials and determine alternatives in single-source situations.
- Facilitate communication between Manufacturing and Engineering for necessary design modifications.
- Champion continuous process improvements by monitoring metrics and adhering to Howell AS9100 standards.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support production efficiency.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in an aerospace electronic equipment manufacturing or production environment.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of electronics and mechanical systems integration into manufacturing.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to develop solutions to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Capability to mentor and guide manufacturing personnel on current and improved processes.
