Position Summary:

We're looking for a forward-thinking, results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be a key driver in refining our manufacturing processes to improve product quality, boost efficiency, and ensure operational excellence. You'll partner across departments to develop and implement practical, sustainable solutions that support Tarter's production and innovation goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to drive process optimization and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and process maps.
  • Conduct root cause analyses of production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to elevate plant performance and productivity.
  • Identify, recommend, and help implement new equipment and technologies.
  • Train production teams on new processes, equipment, and quality expectations.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the agricultural or heavy equipment industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks) and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
