Manufacturing Engineer - whole engine life-cycle Industrialisation A&DT
Full Time

What you will be doing:

A unique and exciting opportunity has a risen to work as an INDUSTRIALISATION ENGINEER For the whole engine life-cycle of ASSEMBLY, DISASSEMBLY, AND TEST.

The AD&T Engineering department employees around XXX Engineers and is crucial to the successful build, overhaul, and development of hundreds of engines per year. The department covers the entire engine build life cycle from experimental development, through to production build, through to servicing in the field

Working as an industrialisation engineer, you will be responsible for promoting and Campaigning for world class methods, technology, digital capability and Processes across all areas of AD&T

You will have the opportunity to influence and deliver improvements into the Experimental (C2/4), Production (PTF), And overhaul (EOS) Departments in Derby as well as reaching into our global network

Under the banner of EPIC, The industrialisation team promotes best practice, Collaboration, leadership, Efficiency, And improvements throughout AD&T.

Responsibilities:
Establishing and maintaining long lasting Connections across the full life-cycle of engine build and service
Promoting and delivering our APQP principles across the life-cycle
Ensuring that the latest tech technologies and digital opportunities are utilised in the most efficient way across our business. Ensuring that the full life-cycle of the engine is considered in every decision made.
Leading bespoke Engine build/Disassembly projects where industrialisation across Experimental, production, MRO is key
Driving method improvement and simplification such as but not limited to FAIr Simplification, Engine Manual utilisation across production.
Working closely with the new engines team in design and engine build to ensure the business is match ready for UltraFan Across a full engine life cycle.

Ability to coach and influence people at all levels to maximise collaboration
Knowledge of APQP, industrialisation principles such as PPAP, FAIr, Change control etc . Is desired
Problem-solving tool set such as 8D is desired
Comfortable communicating and influencing at a senior level
Manufacturing engineering background Specific to engine assembly/Disassembly and understanding of part 145 and part 21 regulations Would be Advantageous but not crucial
