Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Engineer II, Manufacturing. This position will design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures in order to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality. This position will also support the development/transfer of new product design into manufacturing and provide technical solutions. And may require to work in ISO class 5 and class 7 cleanroom environments and required handling production materials and process chemicals.
Responsibilities:
- Design and improve manufacturing processes, tools, and fixtures to support daily production and enhance quality and efficiency.
- Manage and validate production equipment and processes; support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts.
- Coordinate with vendors for components, and document all protocols, reports, and process updates.
- Use tools like Gage R&R, Cp, Cpk, and SPC to analyze and improve production processes using basic statistics and electronic data systems.
- Apply lean manufacturing practices like 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Visual Management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support initiatives related to QMS, EMS, and regulatory standards (FDA, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor, MEMS, or medical device manufacturing, cleanroom processes, and equipment handling.
- Hands-on knowledge of wet/dry etching, PVD, metal deposition, wire bonding, wafer bonding, laser cutting, and measurement tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Minitab, and CAD tools.
- Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced, global teams; strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to travel up to 5%, including international locations.
