About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Manufacturing Custodian
• Pay Rate Range: $16.36-24.54/Hour
• Location: Forest Lake, MN
• Schedule: 2nd Shift Mon-Fri 3:30PM-11:30PM
• Position Type: Temp to Hire Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, technical school education or equivalent experience
- Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States; must possess a valid driver's license.
- 3 Years experience as a custodian.
- Must be able to multitask; run one or more jobs at the same time while completing them on time; professional communication between coworkers and other departments; basic computer skills.
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures, and minor maintenance tasks.
- Walking and stair climbing is required within the office/shop areas.
- Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements.
- Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time while performing typical job responsibilities.
- Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move heavier objects in a safe manner using proper equipment.
- Must have dexterity with hands.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner
- Ability to make decisions with limited information
- Ability to work under a high stress level while meeting customer needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleans a variety of surfaces including all types of floors, walls, windows, furniture and office partitions. Adheres to specific procedures and regulations regarding the cleaning of special areas and equipment.
- Maintains restrooms by cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, urinals, partitions, mirrors and walls. Replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc.
- Collect trash and transport it to designated locations. May also sort, separate and transport recyclable materials.
- Utilizes a variety of cleaning tools and equipment such as mops, pails, vacuum cleaners and push carts. Follow applicable safety precautions for the use and handling of various chemicals and cleaning agents.
- May assist with floor care operations such as stripping, sealing refinishing and buffing.
- May perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, painting, and minor plumbing and carpentry tasks.
- Monitors the grounds and parking lots around the facility, pick up litter, etc.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
