Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated IT Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management Manager to join our team. This role is critical to our organization, as you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our disaster recovery and crisis management strategies. This includes ensuring the continuity of our IT services and systems in the event of a disaster or crisis. You will also be responsible for ensuring our organization meets all relevant compliance standards and regulations. This is a high-stakes, challenging, and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of IT disaster recovery, crisis management, and project management methodologies.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of progressive experience in IT project management, including managing large-scale infrastructure and application recovery projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in incident management, including leading response and mitigation efforts for cybersecurity threats, service outages, or natural disasters.
- Extensive experience in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
- Experience in a large retail environment, with a deep understanding of distribution, logistics, and ecommerce.
- Solid understanding of disaster recovery and incident management frameworks.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models.
- Proven track record of ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as PCI DSS, GDPR, or SOX.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and crisis management strategies and plans.
- Lead the response and mitigation efforts for cybersecurity threats, service outages, or natural disasters.
- Manage large-scale infrastructure and application recovery projects.
- Ensure the continuity of IT services and systems in the event of a disaster or crisis.
- Oversee testing of disaster recovery plans and improve plans based on test results.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as PCI DSS, GDPR, or SOX.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their disaster recovery needs and ensure these are incorporated into the disaster recovery plan.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on disaster recovery and crisis management procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the field of IT disaster recovery and crisis management.
