Aspen Personnel Service has been hired by a Spokane Valley manufacturing company to help them find a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to enhance their production processes through equipment improvements and project implementation. Their facility houses a large variety of production equipment which are PLC-controlled. In this role, you will have a direct and visible impact on the production floor by driving improvements through various projects. Responsibilities include designing solutions, fabricating equipment, programming PLCs, assisting with installation, testing, and troubleshooting.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience

  • 35 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering

  • 2 years PLC programing and design experience

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office

  • Preferred software knowledge: Allen Bradley CCW, eCatcher, and AutoCAD Electrical

  • Highly motivated with a strong focus on delivering high-quality work

  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities

  • Excellent communication and project management skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Hands-on experience with PLC wiring and programming

  • Background in system design within a manufacturing setting

  • Experience in the composites industry is a plus



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency, safety, and waste reduction

  • Work closely with various departments to ensure successful design execution and project completion

  • Oversee projects from initial brainstorming and research to final installation

  • Document system designs and establish maintenance procedures

  • Support and maintain both new and existing automated systems

  • Continuously analyze manufacturing operations to identify areas for improvement and innovation



Compensation :

  • $75 - $82K+ DOE
