Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Accounting Manager with experience in both traditional cost accounting and advertising/marketing cost tracking. This role will oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing business, ensuring accurate reporting of production costs, inventory, and advertising spend. A key focus will be aligning product cost data with marketing expenditures to support true profitability analysis.
Key Responsibilities: -
Manage general accounting operations, including cost accounting, inventory control, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets.

Oversee the month-end close process and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Develop, analyze, and maintain standard costs; monitor variances including PPV, labor, overhead, and scrap.

Track and analyze advertising and promotional spend by product, customer, and campaign.

Collaborate with marketing and sales to assess ROI of ad campaigns and their impact on product margins.

Prepare profitability reports by SKU, customer, and channel that include both production and marketing costs.

Maintain accurate records of co-op advertising, trade spend, and rebates.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including SG&A and marketing budgets.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit requirements.

Supervise and mentor accounting team members.
Qualifications: -
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA a plus).

6+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing; experience with consumer packaged goods (CPG) or product-based businesses preferred.

Solid background in standard costing, inventory, and margin analysis.

Experience tracking marketing/advertising spend and allocating costs across products or business units.

Strong ERP and Excel skills; experience with NetSuite, SAP, or similar preferred.

Excellent analytical and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
