Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manual Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, documenting, and executing test cases based on functional and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure the quality of the software and maintain high standards of testing across the product. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities: - Test Case Development: Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases in Excel based on functional and technical specifications.
- Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases and report defects to ensure complete test coverage and quality assurance.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Defect Management: Track and manage defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla), ensuring timely resolution and effective communication of issues.
- Test Planning & Execution: Participate in test planning, test design, and test execution activities to ensure the software meets required specifications.
- Reporting: Provide clear and concise test reports and detailed documentation of test results and issues found.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the overall quality of the software.
Required Qualifications: - Experience: Proven experience as a Manual Quality Assurance Tester or in a similar QA role, with a strong understanding of manual testing principles and practices.
- Test Case Management: Proficiency in writing and managing test cases in Excel.
- QA Methodologies: Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and various QA methodologies, including Regression Testing, Functionality Testing, and UAT.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Independent and Team Work: Ability to work independently and take initiative while also being an effective team player.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bug Tracking Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
- SQL Knowledge: Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases and validating data.
- Scripting Knowledge: Basic understanding of scripting is a plus, but not required.
Certifications: Certifications in Quality Assurance or Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB) would be a plus but are not mandatory.
