Are you an experienced Manual Machinist with a passion for precision and craftsmanship? Do you enjoy working with traditional machines to create custom parts? On-site position located in Cincinnati, OH $22 to $30 hourly The Manual Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines including lathes, mills, and drill presses, to fabricate, repair and alter component parts. This role requires a solid understanding of traditional machining practices, interpreting blueprints and creating precision parts using LeBlond and Victor horizontal lathes, Bridgeport and Chevalier horizontal milling machines and Carlton radial arm drills. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: Ability to operate precision manual machinery and equipment such as lathes, milling machines and drill presses. Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to fabricate custom parts from steel, aluminum, and bronze. Perform precision measurements using gauges and hand tools to meet exact tolerance requirements. Carefully select and align fixtures, tools, and materials on machines to ensure safety/accuracy. Set up and perform various machining operations, including turning, boring, and facing. Qualifications: 3+ years experience operating manual machines or a degree in Precision Machining. Skilled in using hand tools and general fabrication equipment with a high level of mechanical aptitude. Experience with thread chasing (metric and standard) and knowledge of drill presses, band saws and metal presses. Physical Requirements: Able to stand for extended periods in a workshop environment. Perform regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machines.
