About the Role

The Company is in search of a Managing Director of Social Media to spearhead its global social media strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing an innovative, organization-wide social media strategy that promotes the company's mission and impact on a global scale. This role demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in social media campaign design and execution, aimed at growing brand awareness, engaging new audiences, and delivering measurable results. The Managing Director will lead a small team of social media professionals, foster cross-team collaboration, and ensure that the company's voice resonates beyond traditional channels to build a broader base of support for conservation. Applicants for the Managing Director position must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 7 years of work experience, with a minimum of 5 years in social media strategy and channel management. The role requires a leader with superior storytelling and content creation skills, as well as the ability to manage social media operations and support key campaigns and initiatives. Experience in a global organization and a passion for conservation or climate-related communication is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be an energetic problem solver, a compelling communicator, and capable of engaging with senior-level decision-makers to offer insights into the effective use of social media. The position also involves some international travel and the flexibility to work across multiple time zones.
