We're looking for a passionate, fearless leader to guide both the marketing strategy and client experience to new heights. As the Managing Director of Marketing and Client Services, you will be a vital member of our leadership team, instrumental in shaping the future of the company.

As a key player, you'll own the company's marketing strategy while driving operational excellence across client accounts. Your mission: ensure flawless delivery, accelerate client growth, and set the bar for what exceptional partnership looks like in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and execute forward-thinking, channel-specific marketing strategies for clients in the building products, manufacturing, and distribution sectors.
  • Collaborate with the Board and Senior Management to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the agency's goals and vision.
  • Analyze market trends, client needs.
  • Translate client goals into data-driven campaigns across digital, content (PR, social & SEO), paid media, and experiential channels.
  • Collaborate with the creative, content, and digital teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and flawless execution.
  • Identify and promote agency-wide adoption of new technologies and strategies to enhance client solutions.

Client Relationship Management & Business Development

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to key accounts, proactively identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Maintain deep understanding of each client's brand, products, market, and competitive landscape to continue to strengthen relationships with key clients, while ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Oversee scopes of work, deliverables, budgets, and timelines to ensure work is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality and satisfaction.
  • Assisting in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including potential clients and partnerships.
  • Develop and oversee marketing and promotional initiatives to enhance the agency's brand and market position.
  • Address and resolve any client issues or concerns effectively and professionally.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of account managers and strategists, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and empowering high-performance culture.
  • Set performance standards and conduct regular performance evaluations, while providing ongoing coaching, career development, and constructive feedback.

  • Cultivate internal alignment and clear communication across departments to deliver top-tier results for clients.
  • Ensure adherence to agency policies, standards, and best practices.

Agency & Industry Impact

  • Stay ahead of trends in building materials, sustainability, and commercial/residential design to bring fresh thinking and value to client engagements.
  • Represent the Company at industry events, client meetings, and internal strategy sessions.
  • Contribute to business development efforts through proposals, pitches, and cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in agency leadership, client services, or marketing strategy-preferably within the building products or construction industries. With at least 5-10 years in senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Deep understanding of B2B and B2C marketing dynamics in the building products ecosystem, including familiarity with specific audiences, and distribution channels.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic planning, cross-functional teams, and large-scale marketing programs.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a knack for inspiring confidence and building lasting relationships.
  • Strong business acumen with an eye for growth opportunities, ROI, and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume portfolio of clients (from technical product launches to brand campaigns and multiple projects & priorities) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g. CRM systems, project management software and AI)
