The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Managing Director - Credit Risk Review role in the Tampa, FL market. This position offers a generous salary of up to $190K and a full benefits package. (This is not a remote position)

Managing Director - Credit Risk Review responsibilities include:

  • Conducting timely and independent assessments of the bank's credit exposures and credit risk. Results from these assessments are provided to senior management and the Risk Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Being a Reviewer in Charge, responsible for the successful completion of a review engagement, managing Reviewers, performing credit portfolio analysis, and summarizing results from the review of credit files.
  • Having robust credit knowledge and strong experience related to Commercial credit extension and management, with 10-15+ years of Credit Risk/Credit Underwriting preferred.
  • Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively.
  • Analyzing file review activities for the assigned business segment and executing file review assessments on complex credit transactions.
  • Serving as an expert resource to the team and correlating industry, economic, regulatory, and other trends in the credit cycle.
  • Validating scorecard risk ratings and ensuring understanding of portfolio issues, trends, and root causes.
  • Analyzing risk in assigned credit portfolios by reviewing relevant reporting and assessing trends.
  • Providing expert analytical insight and assessing the risk organization's sufficiency to identify and manage forward-looking risks.
  • Completing work papers, issue tracking, and following up on exam findings.
  • Independently preparing materials and conducting meetings with Line of Business representatives.

  • Industry-relevant experience typically requires 8+ years, with specific certifications often required.
  • A comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered.
