Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a talented professional to join the Advanced Space Processing OU E&S team at Schriever Space Force Base as a Systems Engineering Functional Manager Level 2, managing an on-site department of 50 multi-disciplinary engineers supporting the BOA/OPIR mission. What You'll get to Do: This is a dual role encompassing both functional management and technical performance within the BOA/OPIR program. The program role will focus on lab maintenance (Systems Administration experience) or lab execution (software integration / MDA system test experience). The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. He/she will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Systems Administration - Linux Operating System, Workstation and Server management experience (RHEL 9); in-depth experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform; experience operating under, and managing systems within, NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments; must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II, or higher, certification (example: Security+ CE); maintaining the required certification will be a condition of continued employment
Software Integration / System Test Execution - experience with the MDA ground/flight test requirements, constraints, and execution environment; software/systems engineering experience including installation, configuration, operating, and troubleshooting software system anomalies; familiarity with test and analysis activities including requirements verification, integration of complex systems, scenario generation, test case development, analysis reports, and data collection
Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance and the time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance.
This position is primarily 1st shift (business hours), but does require occasional off hours shift work about 10% of the year. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
