The Account Planner, Tom Ford Beauty NA, works closely with Account Management Leads, helping inform the overall inventory strategy across retailers and achieve gross sales targets.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

Strong business manager with extensive experience negotiating stock & sales plans, delivering gross shipments, developing sell-through and sell-in forecasts, and managing inventory levels to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time to drive sales.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly category plans by account including basic, launch, and holiday business by applying detailed knowledge of current business trends, brand strategy and category/SKU analytics

• Lead meetings with accounts to present stock/sales plans with the goal of aligning the retailer plans with the strategy

• Provide feedback to the Director of Account and Sales Planning based on negotiations with retailers to ensure any necessary adjustments are made to financial plans

• Manage in-season stock and sales plans for accounts by reviewing month over month trends, assessing risks/opportunities in inventory levels and realigning category plans with accounts

• Conduct weekly / bi-weekly calls with accounts to understand OTB plans and any constraints or changes in business trends/strategies

• Consistently review counter service levels, out of stocks and fill rates to identify lost sales opportunities and inform basic orders

• Manage inventory levels including phase-ins, phase-outs, returns (customer and RTVs), DIFs, testers, and markdowns with particular focus on proactively minimizing returns and DIFs

• Monitor and report on gross shipments vs plan to the Director of Account and Sales Planning, identifying any risks/opportunities to in-season plans and proposing initiatives to close any gaps and further drive sales

• Periodically review physical inventory with retailer ensure accuracy and ensure correct adjustments are made

Core Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; exceptional aptitude with numbers and strong understanding of retail math

• Ability to build strong, collaborative partnerships with key accounts and cross-functional partners

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

Qualifications

• College degree required

• 5 years of experience with 3+ years in a retail/consumer goods environment. Merchandise planning or buying experience preferred

• Strong excel skills and an ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data efficiently. Proficiency in v-lookups, pivot tables, etc. required

• Strong understanding of retail and inventory KPIs (stock turn, weeks of supply)

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Proficiency in MicroStrategy and SAP preferred
