Our lovely client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, leadership experience, and proficiency with Spectrum Payroll systems. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll for the organizations 800 employees.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 5 payroll specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective payroll operations.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, salary changes, and deductions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including regular pay cycles, bonuses, and other compensation.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and external agencies as required.
  • Manage and troubleshoot ADP Payroll system, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in a payroll or related role.
  • Proficiency with Spectrum Payroll systems is preferred.
  • Union payroll experience required.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
