Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:

Under general supervision plans, directs, and organizes activities related to the shipping, receiving and inventory of goods for the University community. Supervises, organizes, and coordinates the work and activities of assigned staff in accordance with University's standards and the daily operational needs of the warehouse and property management departments.

Essential Duties Summary:

  • Supervises and schedules staff assignments related to the shipping, receiving and inventory of University goods. Supervises and/or recommends various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance evaluation, problem resolution, compensation, and scheduling time off. Provides training and counseling to assigned staff. Ensures that staff adheres to policies and procedures.
  • Plans, organizes, assigns, and implements daily/weekly/monthly work activities and requests to ensure prompt delivery of all goods to campus departments.
  • Serves as a liaison with campus departments and vendors to resolve issues of over shipment of items, incorrect shipments, return of damaged goods, and other issues regarding supplies and materials that do not meet order specifications.
  • Serves as a liaison with campus departments to coordinate the annual property tagging, inventory and reconciliation processes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:

$50,035.36 - $63,795.08

Education:

High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent education

Required Licensing/Certification:

Valid Texas Driver's License preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.

Work Experience:

Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience.

Working/Environmental Conditions:

  • Prolonged standing and/or walking.
  • Handling moderate weight objects.
  • Using or carrying equipment.
  • Stoop, bend, or lift.
  • Exposure to moderate risk of accident
  • May require routine travel.
