Job Purpose: The Software Quality Assurance Manager plays a strategic role in driving the consistent delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions that meet or exceed customer and business expectations. This position is responsible for shaping and enforcing comprehensive QA strategies, frameworks, and best practices across the software development lifecycle, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.

Summary of Essential Job Duties:
  • Manager, Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support in achieving team goals and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of quality and accountability within the QA team, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and processes to ensure thorough testing coverage across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards, acceptance criteria, and testing requirements for software projects.
  • Oversee and manage the work of QA managers at our offshore vendor partners to ensure alignment with quality standards and delivery expectations.
  • Drive the implementation of test automation frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and technologies based on project requirements and technical considerations.
  • Establish and enforce QA standards, best practices, and methodologies to maintain consistency and reliability in testing efforts.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize QA processes to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor product quality, test coverage, and defect trends.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate QA status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Hardware Devices: Maintaining the hardware devices like trail cameras, making sure the batteries are frequently replaced and observing cameras are sending images daily. Keeping the cameras organized by different environments on the camera shelves.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within the QA team and the organization as a whole.
Requirements

Skills / Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of software development and testing methodologies.
  • Proven experience as a Software Quality Assurance Manager or similar role, with a strong background in software testing and QA methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower team members to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of software development processes, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Required Education and Experience:
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in the QA field.
  • 7+ years experience as a manager
