JOB SUMMARY

The Manager Security Operations ensures that each assigned facility is as safe and secure an environment as possible, and is responsible for the acquisition, installation and maintenance of all security alarms, access control, video camera systems, communications, security and law enforcement technology and applications. In addition, the Manager Security Operations administers department budget planning, payroll, goals and setting benchmarks, while staying current with technological advances and ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
  • Coordinate scheduling, goal setting, evaluations, and discipline for Security Systems Techs.
  • Recommend hiring, promotions and terminations of Security Systems Techs.
  • Coordinates with Security stakeholders to ensure appropriate communications service delivery.
  • Manages the security component of building construction projects system-wide, and oversees the management of system-wide security alarm systems.
  • Oversees the installation and management of digital surveillance systems throughout system.
  • Designs, develops and safeguards key and lock program for system facilities.
  • Maintains integrity of master key system program.
  • Develops and oversees the Dispatch communications systems.
  • Develops and oversees the Computer Aided Dispatch/Report Management System, and develops policy and procedure for Communications and Security programs.
  • Oversees the Emergency Management System as it pertains to a Dispatch environment.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
  • Must have critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to research, review and disseminate complex information.
  • Able to balance multiple demands and respond to time constraints.
  • Advanced knowledge of access control, alarm and video systems and software installation and administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of lock and key services including multiple master and sub master key and lock bitting.
  • Ability to collaborate with and oversee security technology vendors.
  • Ability to make operational choices around how work gets done quality and productivity standards, measurable goals for employees and project teams, etc.
  • Ability to use broader goals to establish how best to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
  • Ability to make or approve effective hiring and termination judgments.
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend changes to policies, and establish procedures that affect the managed organization.
  • Basic business knowledge, including but not limited to: annual planning and goal setting, adherence to budgets, employee compensation, compliance and risk management.
  • Advanced computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, and email.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • EXPERIENCE - 4 Years of Experience

Drivers License (TXDL): If moving from out of state must obtain valid TX DL within 90 days of hire.
