The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the purpose of this part-time position is to administer and interpret all employee benefits, complete all aspects of salaried and hourly payroll and provide internal customer service staff in these areas. Work involves considerable internal and external contacts and difficult non-routine tasks. Judgment and initiative are exercised frequently in answering verbal and written communications and in implementing and interpreting policies regarding assigned benefits programs.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll through both automated and manual entries.
- Process third party reporting and check generation for payroll deductions
- Create journal entries for payroll activity as required
- Reconcile specific payroll related balance sheet accounts
- Complete PA unemployment claim forms as needed
- Process all new hire on-boarding inc. payroll and benefit enrollment, clearance management
- Assist employees in interpreting and utilizing health and welfare benefits
- Audit monthly invoices for benefit insurances and process for payment
- Process all changes and terminations of employee benefits
- Maintain benefit and welfare plan documents
- Maintain employee personnel records
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Three years payroll process experience with related accounting responsibilities
- ADP payroll experience a plus, but not required.
