Title: Manager/Sr. Manager of Information Technology
Reports To: Chief Legal and Administrative Officer

Location: San Jose, CA
As the Manager/Sr. Manager of Information Technology ("IT"), you'll oversee all aspects of the organization's technology, including infrastructure, operations, security, budgets, and staff, ensuring technology aligns with business goals and operates efficiently and securely.
Responsibilities and key areas:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement IT strategies: Align IT initiatives with the organization's business objectives.
- Lead and manage the IT team: Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate IT staff.
- Communicate effectively: Clear communication of technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay updated on industry trends: Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization.
- Manage IT projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
IT Operations and Infrastructure:
- Manage IT infrastructure: Oversee the organization's computer systems, networks, servers, and other technology infrastructure.
- Ensure system availability and performance: Monitor and maintain the performance and reliability of IT systems.
- Manage IT security: Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect the organization's data and systems from cyber threats.
- Manage IT vendors and contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors.
- Manage IT budgets: Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
Other Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans: Ensure the organization can recover from disruptions.
- Manage IT compliance: Ensure the organization complies with relevant IT regulations and standards.
- Identify and recommend new technologies: Propose and implement new technologies to improve the organization's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster innovation: Encourage and support the development of new IT solutions and services.
Skills / Attributes Required
- Technical skills/experience
- Previous system administrator and IT management experience required.
- Organization Planning, Recruitment / Development and Retention of Management of IT staff.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems, and databases with emphasis on Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, SQL Server 2012/2016, and Microsoft Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and PowerBI).
- Excellent knowledge of Cloud infrastructure (e.g., Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS) and backup services.
- Detailed understanding of PC/server hardware set-up and configuration.
- Excellent knowledge of networking components (VLAN, WAN, IPSec VPN, 802.1X, Mesh WiFi, Network Monitoring, Next-Gen Firewall) and infrastructure equipment.
- Knowledge of mobile communications and MDM solutions.
- Experience in Cybersecurity, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), User Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), Digital Rights Management (DRM), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Cloud Access Security Brokerage (CASB), Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention System (IDS/IPS) preferred.
- Set-up, integrate, and enhance knowledge of CAD/PLM software (Siemens products preferred).
- Proficiency/Good Understanding in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Education
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
