Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Information Security to lead our security operations team. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, management experience, and the ability to oversee multiple security projects while ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a broad spectrum of security experience, a strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO, etc.), and the ability to balance both strategic leadership and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of five direct reports in security operations.
- Oversee and prioritize multiple security projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership while guiding and motivating the team to enhance security operations and technology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security risks and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry security frameworks (ISO, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and incident response protocols.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the security operations team.
Required Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience in Information Security, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proven career progression from Engineer/Analyst to Management.
- Experience working in companies ranging from 500 to 2000 employees.
- Broad experience across security operations and tasks, not siloed in a single industry.
- IT and Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent preferred).
- Strong understanding of various security frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.).
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a relevant field.
- Active participation in the InfoSec community or security-related organizations.
