Position Summary:
Waypoint Adventure is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Fundraising Operations to join our team. This role is essential in helping to drive fundraising efforts, strengthen donor engagement, and ensure the seamless execution of development operations. The Development Manager will collaborate closely with the Deputy Director, Executive Director, Grant Writer, and Marketing/Communications team to expand Waypoint Adventure's impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Development Support:
- Assist the Deputy and Executive Director with fundraising strategy and implementation.
- Manage day-to-day development operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Plan and execute fundraising events, including logistics, timelines, budgets, and volunteer coordination.
- Coordinate donor engagement activities such as community engagement programs, appreciation events, and personalized outreach.
- Cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
- Manage corporate sponsorship programs, including solicitation, recognition, and reporting.
Database Management & Reporting:
- Oversee donor database maintenance to ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Generate donor lists, reports, and insights to support targeted campaigns and outreach.
- Track and report on fundraising efforts, campaign responses, and donor engagement outcomes.
- Support gift entry and acknowledgment processes.
Communications & External Relations:
- Collaborate with the Marketing/Communications team to align messaging for fundraising appeals, campaigns, and donor communications.
- Develop compelling content for donor correspondence, event promotions, and sponsorship materials.
- Represent Waypoint Adventure at networking events, corporate engagement meetings, and community initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in development or fundraising roles, preferably within a nonprofit environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, event planning, and campaign execution.
- Experience using donor database systems to manage data, track responses, and generate reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
- Applicant must be able to travel throughout Waypoint's service area.
- Available for weeknights/weekends for events or programs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CRM systems such as Bloomerang or Salesforce.
- Knowledge of inclusive practices and the disability community.

Location:
- Work will be done primarily at Waypoint's office in Lexington, MA.
- This is a Full time role with 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary based on experience ($60,000 - $65,000).
