Gpac is working with a client company in SE Montana who is seeking a Manager of Engineering and Technical Services for their energy/power company. They produce and sell electricity, capacity and ancillary services in wholesale power markets in the US. They focus on excellence through safe and efficient operations, and promote inclusive, diverse, respectful and collaborative workplaces for all.
As the Manager of Engineering and Technical Services, you'd be able to not only oversee technical operations but also ensure the plant's performance is aligned with broader organizational goals and compliance requirements. A strong and proven successful people management background is key with this role.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience
- Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams in a power generation or industrial operations setting.
- Strong track record of delivering successful projects in a technical environment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical infrastructure.
- Leadership and Team Development
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate diverse teams of engineers and technical professionals.
- Demonstrated success in developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Project Management Expertise
- Proven ability to manage complex, large-scale technical projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with relevant standards.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing demands and objectives.
- Technical and Regulatory Knowledge
- Deep understanding of engineering principles and their application to power generation and industrial operations.
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices, with experience ensuring compliance across all engineering and technical activities.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Adept at presenting complex technical information to non-technical audiences, ensuring clear understanding and alignment with organizational goals.
- Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
- An advanced degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and technical excellence.
