Job description: Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day clinical, technical and operational functions within the Imaging department. This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient, effective procurement, utilization and stewardship of all technical, physical and human resources.

Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric.

Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assures competency of all personnel.

Assists in formulating the budget. Must be capable of developing, interpreting and administering all policies, procedures and protocols of the department, hospital and partnership.

Must maintain efficient and effective department operations while requiring compliance with all Joint Commission, state, federal, Corporate Radiation Right, and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.

Must possess critical thinking skills and be capable of assuming complete departmental authority and responsibility in the absence of the Director. Must strive to create and maintain great relationships with all facility stakeholders.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience as a Technologist; 3 years Supervisory in an acute care setting
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and independently, with minimal supervision required.
Bachelors Degree required.
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology required.
Must have one of the following: ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS.
Basic knowledge of Hospital and Radiology Information Systems
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Software; Advanced Excel preferred.
