Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and reporting to the Executive Director/VP, Finance and Budget, the Manager of Contracts is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and management of assigned projects, contracts and administration. This role also involves managing the property management team to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimal performance of company property. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, procurement, materials management, contract negotiation, and property management.
Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Manages the entire contract lifecycle, including renewals and amendments
- Manages contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards
- Drafts scopes of work, completes independent cost estimates and negotiates contracts
- Maintains a centralized database of contracts and related documentation
- Develops comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Manages project changes, risks, and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Communicates project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders and senior management
- Oversees the property management contract to ensure the building is maintained to an A standard, operates efficiently, and tenant issues are promptly addressed
- Manages budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to align contract terms with business objectives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and legal changes affecting contracts.
- Adheres to all safety regulations as stated in the company safety program, and reports safety-related accidents, incidents, and unsafe work conditions. Attends safety training programs as required

ATTRIBUTES AND SKILL SETS:
- Extensive experience in contract administration and project management.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to learn additional software as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in contract management or a related field such as project management, procurement, materials management, contract negotiation, or property management. A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, project management, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
Relevant certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or Certified Procurement Professional (CPP), are highly desirable.
Additional professional experience as outlined above may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis, and conversely, advanced education and certifications may be substituted for relevant experience.

Salary Structure: Hiring range: $107,407 - $144,999 per year (DOQ), with excellent fringe benefits. Submit resume, APPLY ONLINE, (DMV record printout within 30 Days UPON REQUEST). Compensation packages are determined based on a variety of factors specific to each candidate, including geographic location, skillset, the mix of relevant education, certifications, experience level, and performance.
