Responsibilities The nursing education manager provides leadership based on the vision, mission, philosophy, and core values of Mayo Clinic, Department of Nursing, and EPD. The nursing education manager plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the operational personnel, and fiscal activities to ensure the provision of high quality education across the care continuum. The role includes ongoing collaboration and communication utilizing participative decision making when appropriate. The nursing education manager is responsible for promoting ongoing development of all staff and for maintaining a professional environment in which all staff can grow and develop. The manager applies current nursing and leadership theories to coordinate educational services. The nursing education manager acts as a resource and facilitates collaboration between nursing personnel and other healthcare disciplines throughout the organization and within the healthcare community. The nursing education manager contributes to the strategic planning process and attainment of goals of the organization.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
Qualifications Graduate of a baccalaureate Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program with a Master's degree in Education or healthcare-related field. Minimum of three years of nursing practice experience. Demonstrated leadership in committee or projects. Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area. A valid driver's license is required.
Additional Qualifications: Master's in Nursing with a focus on education preferred. Nursing education experience, preferred.

Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
BLS (Basic Life Support) must be valid for 90 days post start date - acceptable BLS certificates are American Heart Association: "BLS Provider" or American Red Cross: "Basic Life Support" or "CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers".
