Position Summary: The Manager of Local Support/Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of corporate support needs and managing the organization's IT assets. This role ensures efficient and effective support for all IS needs, including hardware, software, and network issues, while maintaining accurate records of IT assets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Remote Technical Support: Oversee the provision of technical support to end-users that are remote, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including inventory management, asset tracking, and lifecycle management.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in the development and implementation processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IS support and asset management.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors in procurement, maintenance, and support of IT assets.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to IS support and asset management.
  • Reporting: Assist in generating and analyzing reports on IS support activities and asset management to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the IS support and asset management budget.
Experience/Education Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support and asset management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in IT support tools and asset management software.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, or similar are preferred.
Skills/Requirements:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
