We are looking for a Manager, IT Support Services, to lead our Tech Support and Helpdesk teams, ensuring excellent day-to-day technical support across our enterprise. If you are passionate about leadership, technology, and making an impact, we would love to meet you.

About The Role:

The Manager, IT Support Services oversees infrastructure support for Guitar Center stores and shared services sites, managing teams responsible for PCs, laptops, printers, network connectivity, operating systems, and applications. This role is key to delivering outstanding service while building a high-performing, customer-first IT culture.

You'll combine technical expertise, leadership, and operational management to keep our systems running and our teams empowered.

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

Experience
  • 8+ years of progressive IT support experience, including desktop support, networking, and vendor management.
  • 5+ years of experience providing direct end-user and help desk support.
  • Proficient with Windows OS (XP-Windows 11), Active Directory, and basic UNIX/Linux/Mac OS administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Ethernet networking, cabling, switch management, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Background in IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL, CoBIT); ITILv4 or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience managing IT budgets and working with managed service providers and external vendors.
Leadership
  • 3+ years managing IT teams, including remote-based staff.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage executive leadership and technical/non-technical audiences.
  • High emotional intelligence with a proven ability to lead calmly under pressure.
  • Skilled in conflict management, resilience, and collaborative leadership in complex environments.
