THE CHALLENGE This position is responsible for the administration and support of the enterprise technical systems including, but not limited to servers and network equipment, operating systems, data storage, management systems and tools, communication and documentation, and data backup and recovery systems. Acts independently to proactively identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from potential issues while troubleshooting complex problems to avoid costly service outages. Oversee development, maintenance, testing, and documentation of IT operations and maintenance procedures.

- Lead and manage a dynamic team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment to achieve organizational goals.
- Oversee and ensure the readiness of server, storage, high-availability, and other computer resources, management platforms and tools, backup and recovery systems, and cloud environment.
- Ensure the security, confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of services and data storage systems.
- Manage the remediation of issues affecting security and compliance through configuration management, patching, updating, and documentation.
- Safeguard the integrity and conduct periodic testing of the company's Business Systems Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Lead and manage assigned system and service implementations and upgrade/refresh projects.
- Supervise the identification and resolution of hardware and software problems.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices and ensure the team is informed.
- Evaluate technology products and services as assigned and provide recommendations.
- Provide on-call/after-hours support; work remotely as required; travel on-demand, as needed.
- Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity in all dealings with or on behalf of the company at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- Oversee and enhance the IT documentation library, ensuring activities are recorded.
- Ensure detailed task completion notes (TCN) are maintained.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
THE PROFILE TO SUCCEED This position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
- Managerial experience, with a hands-on approach in leading & developing a small team, managing projects, and ensuring the successful completion of tasks.
- Eight (8) - 15 years of systems administration experience, with respect to the following technologies and equipment:
- Microsoft Azure cloud environments including Azure subscriptions, resource management, monitoring and optimization, security, backups, and automation.
- Microsoft Server administration and technical support; Dell PowerEdge server experience.
- Administering and supporting multi-site Active Directory 2016 and above, DNS, and DHCP.
- Administering and supporting Microsoft Exchange Online/Office 365.
- Backup technologies including Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager.
- Microsoft Intune and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including but not limited to patch management, software and update distribution, and hardware/software inventory.
- Administering Microsoft SQL Server installations, access, operations, and maintenance
- PowerShell scripting to automate common Microsoft technologies tasks.
- Workstation, laptop, and Windows OS operating system deployment support; Microsoft Surface experience a plus.
- VOIP/telephony systems; Microsoft Teams a plus
- Firewall technologies including Check Point Next Generation Firewall a plus.
- Experience with NERC CIP and NIST compliance controls and standards, or other regulatory controls preferred.
- Energy industry experience preferred, working in both corporate data center and field OT environments.
- An ITIL Foundation certificate is a plus.
- Multiple current, or recently expired, certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, CheckPoint, Cisco, Dell, or other prominent technology vendors are preferred
