Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures the reliable performance of several key enterprise applications including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Quality Management systems by providing application administration, managing user access/security, being the liaison between vendor and end users, developing training, and helping resolve other technology related issues.
- Works cross-functionally to find, implement, and continuously improve practical and scalable technology solutions.
- Participates on projects to gather user requirements, design, configure, test, and implement Gannet's ERP and Quality systems/applications.
- Monitors performance and serves as a systems administrator for enterprise applications and integrations from vision, scope, design, development, implementation, deployment, maintenance, and support.
- Collaborates with cross-functional divisions and teams to analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, implement business solutions, and enhance enterprise system functionality.
- Collaborates closely with colleagues, senior management, and other stakeholders to assess and support end-user application support needs.
- Develop a fundamental understanding of what data is needed by each group and ensure feedback mechanisms are in place to provide timely and appropriate distribution of this information to the appropriate parties.
- Analyzes and identifies business process optimization, identifying technical problems, and developing solutions to support business objectives.
- Coordinate implementation of fixes and enhancements.
- Responsible for planning and executing application support work.
- Design, write, and maintain extensive system documentation, including but not limited to requirements and designed specifications, test plans and test scripts, requirement traceability matrixes, etc.
- May develop project plans, organize and lead project teams, monitor progress, and evaluate effectiveness on smaller projects.
- Maintains a project roadmap for current and future modules and enhancements.
- Provide leadership and development to existing staff
- Perform workload planning to identify future staff resource needs to meet the business system implementation requirements.
- Remains up to date on new features and functionality of enterprise application functionality and provides administration and training to business.
- Responsible for the oversight, performance management, and development of the Sr. Lab Systems Analyst.
- Responsible for establishing, executing, and managing goals (for self and team) that support the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 8 years practical work experience with deep knowledge of IT processes/procedures and regulatory standards including implementing and supporting enterprise-level regulated systems.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
- Knowledge of ERP system, maintenance of system, and system administration is required. NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of electronic systems for Quality Management, Document Management, and Learning Management. MasterControl experience is a plus.
- Familiar with System lifecycle (SLC) experience in a regulated environment.
- Ability to articulate technical problems and business value to a wide business audience.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, and to cope effectively with complexity and time management.
- Strong communication skills, effective at explaining complex concepts to varied audiences and decision makers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a "seek to understand" mentality and strong customer service orientation.
