The Manager in Training - Sales position includes a base salary of $12,000, with additional earnings based on either commission or $15 per hour-whichever is greater. This position is also eligible for performance-based bonuses. Average annual earnings for a Manager in Training range from $48,000 to $50,000.

Essential function and Accountability of Manager in Training - Sales:
  • Assist in managing the sales, operation and administrative functions of a Slumberland Store including staffing, sales management, sales training, back room, inventory control, customer service and more.
  • Learn and carry out the responsibilities of a Sales Associate while following Slumberland's sales strategies.
  • Demonstrate high standards of conduct and performance through your own actions and consistently work toward achieving individual and store sales goals.
  • Support and learn management responsibilities for all displays, housekeeping, clearance maintenance, and product flow.
  • Partner with the manager in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and developing store team members. Offering feedback and insight on associate performance to support ongoing growth and success.
  • Adheres to safety policies and practices and consistently models safe behaviors and risk reduction procedures.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Point of Sale (POS) systems experience preferred.
  • Maintains a safe and insurable driving record that will allow for driving on company business.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Relocatable to multiple Mid- West areas.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
