MPCC proudly institutes a robust Manager in Training program for college graduates looking for the training and guidance necessary to become a Food and Beverage Manager. While there is a heavy focus in food and beverage, our MITs rotate through various other departments to better prepare them for their career path. If you'd like to take a dive into the real-life utilization of things such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, interviewing and hiring, and purchasing, come check us out.
Requirements
- Work alongside the food and beverage team to serve guest in a la carte, banquet, and pool service dining spaces
- Collaborate with management team to oversee pool snack bar service in the summertime
- Resolve member complaints and display effective service recovery tactics
- Contribute to various managerial tasks, including inventory, scheduling, hiring, training, etc.
- Participate in learning opportunities, as provided - including club tours, CMAA education, reading assignments, projects, and more
- Complete year-end project as assigned by internship coordinator
Qualifications: - Recent graduate, or graduating senior, from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in hospitality business management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work in a variety of work environments and roles - indoors, outdoors, seated, and standing/walking
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
