Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to act as a leading business partner to the Rensselaer IOPS (Industrial Operations and Product Supply) functions. You will be responsible for supporting financial and operational decisions through business planning, forecasting, analysis, and management financial reporting. Providing related insights for key business partners in a growing, fast paced environment.
As a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, a typical day might include the following:
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with various IOPS departments, to understand their financial needs, provide financial guidance, and support strategic initiatives. Act as a business partner by providing financial insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Extract relevant information, perform data validation, and present findings to stakeholders. Use data visualization tools to present data in a clear and meaningful way.
- Reporting & Analysis: Forecasting & Budgeting: Preparation of periodic forecasts and annual budgets. Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant information, assess budgetary targets, and track performance against the budget. Review and challenge forecast submissions from the business departments to ensure accuracy and alignment with the overall goals.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the performance and provide insights to support decision-making. This includes analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, operating expenses analysis, and assessing the financial impact of business initiatives.
- Ad hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required. Some examples of this may involve evaluating the financial impact of new vendors, a change in accounting policy, or supporting resource planning activities.
This role may be for you if you have:
- TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in financial planning and performance management including analyzing, planning, and reporting company financial performance across all financial KPIs.
- COLLABORATION SKILLS including proven business partnering, influencing and communication skills across a global company; experience working as a finance business partner to make decisions and drive results with relevant cost center stakeholders.
- CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MINDSET and ability to identify opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of our business. As a large, dynamic business we sometimes must make decisions with incomplete information. Using your best judgment and being prepared to adjust as new information becomes available are a core and vital competency.
In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BS/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or applicable science degree and
- Associate Manager: 6+ years of relevant experience; prior management experience required
- Manager: 7+ years of relevant experience; prior management experience required
- MBA, project management and experience with Hyperion, Oracle or similar financial system is a plus.
- Post-qualification work experience spent in the biotech/pharma industry would be advantageous.
- May consider experience in lieu of education; level decided upon completion of an interview process
