Job Description

Purpose:

The Finance Manager FP&A serves as a strategic partner to the US Oncology Business leadership, providing valuable financial insights and information to drive decision-making and enhance business performance. Specifically, this position will lead the US Consolidation of the financial planning and reporting activities, including Oncology Pipeline. In addition, this position manages the SG&A for Finance, BU Capabilities and Commercial VP. This position offers significant exposure to both Finance organization (Oncology, DHQ and GCF) and business leadership, ensuring financial commitments are met and contributing to the overall success of AbbVie's Oncology business.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Month Close Management

Manage the end-to-end financial reporting, including month-close process, ensuring timely consolidation of financial reporting from the four different franchise teams within US Oncology.

Proactively manage the financial reporting calendar, providing teams with advance visibility of deadlines to facilitate smooth and efficient reporting.

Provide clear guidance on reporting requirements and materials needed to meet both internal and DHQ requirements.

Serve as the primary liaison between franchise teams and finance leadership to address any financial discrepancies or queries during the close process.

Financial Planning and Analysis Activities

Lead the entire planning and consolidation process for the US Oncology business unit, ensuring seamless integration with all planning cycles (LBE, PLN, LRP), working with FP&A Director on the US Oncology story telling.

Manage the planning calendar proactively, offering teams advance visibility of deadlines and required milestones.

Provide comprehensive guidance on reporting formats and materials to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Collaborate with Oncology leadership and finance teams to align strategic initiatives with financial planning and optimize decision-making processes.

BU Capabilities, VP, and Finance Budget Management

Oversee the management of BU capabilities, VP, and finance budgets, excluding brand budgets, with a focus on optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.

Partner with key stakeholders to streamline budget management processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

Exercise full ownership over ad-hoc financial analysis projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.

Developing Direct Report

Develop and mentor his/her Direct Report (FP&A Analyst), setting-up clear goals and expectations that will drive the performance and execution of this group, as well as ensure skills enhancement and career progression.

Foster a collaborative environment that encourages team development and aligns with AbbVies strategic priorities.

Represent the Oncology FP&A team in cross-functional meetings

Advocating for financial insights that drive organizational success.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA / MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive work experience in FP&A, with demonstrated experience in managing budgets and collaborating across functional groups.
  • Strong leadership skills, with previous supervisory experience and experience in developing and mentoring team members.
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptation capacity and ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently, drive processes, and implement process improvements efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage innovation to reality.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex financial data in clear, simple terms.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and solve problems while generating innovative ideas.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi and BPC. knowledge of SAP, WDESL preferred.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP, AbbVie internal accounting policies, and financial control frameworks, including SOX.
