Job Description:

The Manager Digital Services position is a leader role that leads a team of technical caregivers, primarily software engineers, technical analysts, and scrum masters, to help manage the Intermountain Health website. This position works closely and collaboratively with other professionals within Digital Technology Services, and also partners with other areas such as Marketing, Consumer Experience, and Operations to help achieve regional, and system-wide digital objectives.

Essential Functions

Ensures software development lifecycle activities are completed with each project, including designs, design reviews, unit testing, build and release management, etc.

Oversees agile processes and ceremonies and adopts best practice and enterprise standards.

Works with design team to document the technical architecture and implementation requirements of the project.

Develops digital workplans based on enterprise objectives and expected outcomes, business plans, and consumer and/or caregiver needs (quantitative and qualitative data), and continuously assesses results to objectives.

Implements and manages digital workplans and manages team's work and capacity.

Continuously improves website channel based on consumer and/or caregiver insights and other data to ensure the highest levels of performance.

Works well independently and collaboratively to prioritize and drive forward multiple projects.

Manages complex and matrixed digital projects throughout the project life cycle (concept through launch), to achieve objectives and measure results against business needs.

Builds relationships with stakeholders and counterparts to help achieve digital objectives.

Assists in scoping and evaluating digital projects so that they meet operational and strategic criteria.

Assists in managing budgets.

Will spend up to 25% of time coding/developing custom software.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

Experience in digital, software engineering, technical product management, or similar role

Effective communication skills, oral and written

Demonstrated agile project management skills and ability to manage priorities and utilize time effectively

Seasoned coder who can deliver software features and bug fixes on time and aligned to strategy

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology-related major, or related field, obtained through an accredited institution.

Experience leading technical teams.

Expert in React or similar JavaScript frameworks and proficiency in C .

Ongoing need for the employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.

Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors require the employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$37.98 - $58.61
