Position Description:

The University of Louisville Athletic Department is seeking talented individuals to join our Cardinal Athletic Fund team in the position of Manager Development (Director of Fundraising & Partnerships). The Director of Fundraising & Partnerships will play a key role in driving revenue generation through corporate partnerships, philanthropic giving, NIL fundraising, and premium seating sales. This position will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with key donors, corporate partners, and community organizations to support the financial sustainability of Louisville Athletics. The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-driven professional with strong relationship management skills and a passion for fundraising.

This position will be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, with some overnight out-of-state travel.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies that drive new revenue across NIL, corporate partnerships, philanthropic giving, and premium seating.
  • Manage a portfolio of mid-to-high-level donors and corporate partners, cultivating relationships to secure five and six figure gifts.
  • Support the Assistant Athletic Director of Fundraising & Partnerships in the creation and negotiation of revenue-generating agreements, including corporate sponsorships, naming rights, NIL agreements, endowments, and premium seating packages.
  • Secure new commitments for premium seating at the KFC Yum. Center and L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium, including suites, floor seats, premium boxes, club seats, etc.
  • Supervise full-time CAF staff as assigned, including Development Officer(s) I (Assistant Director, Fundraising & Partnerships) and Development Officer(s) II (Associate Director, Fundraising & Partnerships).
  • Develop and assist in high-level donor cultivation, stewardship, and special events.
  • Manage and/or assist with other Cardinal Athletic Fund special projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience in athletic fundraising or sales.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
