The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA is looking for a
Manager, Demand Generation Marketing to join our Denver/hybrid team.
The Manager of Demand Generation Marketing is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies in alignment with enterprise marketing plans for the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) with the goal of building a larger and more engaged audience for MGMA's products and services. This role focuses on the middle of the funnel and includes responsibilities in paid digital advertising, web, SEO, and content marketing.
Requirements
Essential Functions Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor the Demand Generation marketing team, ensuring alignment with broader marketing and sales goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, performance marketing, brand marketing, and analytics teams.
Paid Digital Marketing
- Own strategy and execution for middle of funnel paid channels including paid social, SEM, display, retargeting, and sponsored content.
- Optimize campaign performance across platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, etc.) with a focus on cost-efficient lead nurturing and conversion.
Website Strategy
- Oversee the website team as a key middle of funnel conversion asset by prioritizing the customer experience.
- Drive CRO (conversion rate optimization) initiatives to enhance the user journey, improve lead capture, and increase engagement.
- Collaborate with web development and UX teams to implement site updates, landing pages, and A/B tests.
Content Marketing
- Lead the content team to optimize the development and distribution of mid-funnel content (articles, eBooks, case studies, webinars, whitepapers, etc.) that supports lead nurturing and sales enablement.
- Manage SEO, design, and content teams to ensure messaging consistency and performance tracking.
Analytics & Optimization
- Track and report on campaign performance, KPIs, and funnel metrics to inform strategic decisions.
- Continuously test and iterate to improve key KPIs like lead-to-MQL rate, cost-per-lead, and pipeline influenced.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory duties - Direct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; coaching, mentoring, and providing guidance; planning, assigning, and directing work; setting goals, appraising performance, and recognizing achievements; addressing performance or behavioral issues; and resolving employee concerns.
- Manage digital agencies to maximize results for the investment made.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities - Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of MGMA's mission, vision, and values.
- Experience in managing a content-driven membership website to maximize prospect conversion and customer experience. Perferred: experience in hybrid CMS platforms.
- Proven success managing middle-of-funnel programs and leading a team.
- Expertise in paid digital platforms, marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Strong understanding of buyer journeys, lead nurturing, and conversion rate optimization.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Expertise in digital integrated marketing best practices (branding, segmentation, messaging, content marketing, digital design, website, demand generation, media placement, marketing analytics platforms, paid media, display advertising and PPC, and similar.)
- Demonstrated self-starter who takes initiative.
- Highly strategic and capable of consulting with product teams and other stakeholders to determine optimal marketing campaigns to achieve product and organizational goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work effectively within and across the Association's departments.
- Demonstrated confidence in presentation skills communicating with multiple teams, including C-level executives, on a regular basis.
- Strong analytical skills, able to track marketing campaign results, cross-tab various data sources, review data from different angles, and make improvement suggestions.
- Ablility to work effectively with a creative team to produce quality digital campaign materials that reinforce the message and the brand.
- Possesses technical problem-solving skills related to creating and updating landing/web pages, reports, and other campaign-focused components.
- Detail oriented with strong project management skills including the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, assimilate feedback from multiple stakeholders and adhere to tight deadlines.

Education - A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Experience - Five (5) or more years of experience middle of funnel marketing, content marketing, or marketing website management.
- Five (5) or more years of experience coordinating and managing multiple projects is required.
- Two (2) or more years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications - Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
