Description The Global Cybersecurity Threat, Defense and Response team is looking for a dynamic, results driven, and experienced leader to manage a high-performing team of cybersecurity engineers responsible for threat and vulnerability management operations. Responsible for hiring, managing, and deploying resources across the team to enable optimal alignment of staff to security and business priorities. Coaches and evaluates performance and quality of work delivered by team members. Creates a motivating work environment and ensures the team is constantly learning and continuously improving. Leads the cybersecurity engineering staff in the evaluation, development, implementation, communication, operation, monitoring and maintenance of IT security operations, policies and procedures. We seek a candidate who not only possesses a strong technical foundation but also excels in coaching and mentoring engineers to foster professional growth and innovation.
Responsibilities - Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of cybersecurity engineers, cultivating a collaborative environment that emphasizes innovation, continuous improvement and professional development.
- Hires and manages a team of people. Coaches, counsels and develops team members. Conduct performance reviews, facilitating development opportunities.
- Defines individual performance objectives and development plans and ensures alignment with organizational objectives.
- Monitors team effectiveness and addresses issues affecting team productivity.
- Keeps abreast of industry trends and emerging security threats, proactively assessing and enhancing security processes and technologies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align security initiatives with broader business objectives, ensuring the timely delivery of products and services.
- Identify and mitigate roadblocks; effectively manage interdependence across teams and projects.
- Oversee the quality of deliverables from team members, addressing performance issues promptly and constructively.
- Contribute to the development of business and technology visions, strategies, success factors, and operational plans to deliver best in class threat and vulnerability management services.
- May establish and manage financial plans
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies to advance application and platform capabilities.
- Reviews the development, testing and implementation of appropriate security plans, products and control techniques.
- Provides technical expertise and leadership to partners, leadership and other infrastructure staff in risk assessments, implementation and operational aspects of appropriate information security procedures and products.
- Manages the reporting, investigation and resolution of data high priority security incidents.
- Manages internal audit support mechanisms, reviews findings, responses and remediation efforts.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of security standards, procedures and guidelines to manage discovery, assessment and remediation of threats and vulnerabilities
- Supports team members in addressing or escalating issues to make the overall team more efficient.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline and at least five or more years experience in IT operations
- Three years in a technical leadership or people leader role, showcasing a proven ability to manage and cultivate high-performing teams is highly preferred
- Demonstrated excellent communication, negotiation, and consensus building skills required
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability discovery products or concepts, IT service management operations, risk management, and cloud platforms.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and build consensus among diverse groups. In-depth understanding of technology standards, guidelines, and management practices, alongside comprehensive knowledge of business operations and strategies.
- Requires excellent analytical ability, consultation, communication, presentation and management skills, with strong judgment and ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional stakeholders.
