We are seeking a Corporate Strategy Manager to join our growing Strategic Finance team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong valuation or financial modeling background-ideally with deal exposure-to step into a high-impact role that blends M&A, capital planning, strategic initiatives, and internal investment evaluation. This role is not a fit for an investment banker or pure implementation lead-it's for someone who thrives in ambiguity, sees the big picture, and can model the long-term vision.
This person will partner closely with leadership across Strategic Business Development (SBD), Transformation, and FP&A, as well as external strategy partners. The ideal candidate is a thought partner who can help rebuild and shape the function, and help establish standards and structure as we expand our strategic capabilities post-acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Initiatives & M&A Support
- Conduct valuation analysis and financial modeling on M&A targets and strategic investments.
- Support due diligence efforts and help frame deal strategy (not execution-focused).
- Collaborate with SBD and Transformation teams to align corporate growth goals with strategic opportunities.
- Financial Modeling & Investment Analysis
- Build robust NPV models and business cases to support internal capital allocation decisions.
- Contribute to long-range financial forecasts (3-5 year outlooks) and scenario analysis.
- Support capital expenditure planning and prioritization.
- Market Intelligence & Benchmarking
- Perform external benchmarking and analytics using Bloomberg, CapIQ, and CoStar.
- Analyze competitor earnings, customer trends, and market signals to inform strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with internal partners on strategy presentations and planning deliverables.
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and potentially manage 1-2 team members.
- Help establish best practices and team norms in a post-acquisition environment.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Strategy Director to build out and structure the function.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA a plus)
- 4-7 years of experience in valuation, corporate finance, strategy, or deal-related roles
- Solid understanding of financial modeling, NPV/DCF analysis, and capital investment planning
- Experience with strategic planning, corporate development, or internal consulting
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems like SAP
- Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, CoStar
- SQL experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and helping create structure where none exists
- High level of business acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
