In this role, you will be responsible for customer communication, contract management, change management, coordination of invoicing, fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. You will need to utilize regular application of thorough business acumen and subject matter expertise to understand program performance requirements, provide guidance, and influence results in support of program and financial objectives. Additionally, the Manager, Contracts is required to work closely with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management activities, and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolio. This position will have 1 direct report. The role will also work with both internal and external customers to ensure programs' performance, provide guidance, and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. This role is eligible for a Sign-On bonus. What You Will Do Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes and meet company objectives
Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop business relationships
Partner with Key Program Functions in the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, as well as general contract administration
Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
Identify, mitigate, and drive the resolution of contractual issues as they may arise
Work closely within cross-functional teams to construct, submit, and negotiate Terms and Conditions and pricing proposals, examine and understand cost structure estimates of labor, material, engineering services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks
Some domestic travel will be required to meet with the customer Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
Experience with contracts negotiation and administration of hardware and/or software development programs Qualifications We Prefer Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective
Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organization skills
Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
