Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced full-time analyst & manager to join our team as the leader of our Data & Analytics function. You will be responsible for deriving insights from data and conveying conclusions to stakeholders to drive strategy and decision-making across a range of business areas. You will be an advisor, consultant, project manager, data analyst, and leader of data practices at the organization.

We're seeking a highly motivated candidate to lead Nurture Life's central data function, combining strategic leadership with deep technical expertise to drive business outcomes.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • You have 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, business intelligence, business analyst, or similar role
  • Strong business acumen and experience and interest in using data to solve business problems
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau) and programming languages such as SQL
  • Experience with data collection and site analytics tools, such as Heap or Google Analytics
  • Strong Google Sheets or Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, with a desire to learn
  • Very detail-oriented and thoughtful when executing a task or initiative
  • Adept at figuring out how things work, or how to get things done when a solution isn't obvious or involves multiple steps or tools
  • Strong communication skills to convey results of analyses and describe data visualizations to stakeholders who are less familiar with technical presentations of information
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity, confidently make decisions in uncertain situations, and adapt quickly to changing business needs
  • Experience with data warehousing tools (e.g. Google BigQuery) and ETL tools (e.g. Fivetran)
You will:
  • Lead the analytics team and collaborate with other business functions, such as Product, Operations, Site Analytics, Finance and Marketing, to provide data-driven insights
  • Analyze data, interpret findings, and present actionable insights, solutions, or recommendations
  • Understand and maintain relationships between data sources and structures, as well as translate business requirements into necessary fields or metrics
  • Generate ideas for and execute data initiatives that will continue to push forward key business goals
  • Be responsible for Nurture Life's overall data structure & strategy
  • Design and develop Looker dashboards and reports to visualize complex user data and trends
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and key insights that can inform strategic decisions
  • Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner
  • Export data and create reports as necessary to support business functions, including new sales channels and production planning
  • Meet with internal stakeholders across various departments (Operations, Marketing, Finance, etc) to turn business requirements/questions into business insights and BI/reporting solutions
  • Find the root causes behind variances of key parameters and resolve issues for data systems by performing deep-dives using various analytical techniques
  • Monitor initiatives while effectively communicating business value through the creation of reporting, data sources, and ad-hoc analysis
