Manager, Awards - Ceremonies & Ticketing, 1695-1

The Role:

The Manager, Awards - Ceremonies & Ticketing will play an important role on the Talent Relations & Awards team across key UCAN award ceremonies, festivals and events attended by nominees, talent, and executives. They will work on all aspects of award ceremony strategy and logistics, festival ticketing, invitation lists, RSVP and guest management, seating, and be on-site at key events managing the guest arrival process.


They will work cross functionally with various departments across series, films, and documentaries, and will partner especially closely with the publicity teams to share and track information. They will also work with external partners and liaise with award ceremony and festival contacts, event producers, talent bookers, filmmakers/show-runners and additional cast & crew, talent representatives, production partners, agencies, vendors and more.


Responsibilities Include:

Lead in curating, sending, and tracking for select award ceremony invitations and RSVPs for talent, nominees, and executives

Support festival ticketing across major UCAN film festivals for filmmakers, internal executives, external partners and key stakeholders

Staff and attend select award ceremonies and events, and be point of contact with all on the ground event and ticket logistics

Coordinate logistics and staff high level executives at ceremonies and events.

Compile talent invite lists for filmmaker dinners and high touch events

Work with cross-functional teams such as PR, Marketing, Content, Comms, Events, etc.

Meticulous about details, large and small. Proactive and thorough. They don't need to be nudged or reminded about their tasks and responsibilities. They are not afraid to get their hands dirty.

A sound thinker who can maturely approach challenges and obstacles. Able to troubleshoot problems but also knows when to ask for help. Use good judgment to know when to escalate issues.

Prepared to commit to working long hours during periods of heavy awards activity

Bonus if you already know Google Drive like the back of your hand. If not, you are quick to learn and adapt with new systems.

Knowledgeable about awards, guilds/organizations, and has a general understanding of awards-qualifying rules and regulations


Qualifications:

The successful candidate for Manager, Awards - Ceremonies & Ticketing will have at least 6 years of relevant entertainment experience either in a studio, network, awards, or film festivals. Experience in ticketing and/or award ceremonies is strongly preferred. Being personally passionate about awards and entertainment is a must. Candidates must demonstrate good judgment in high pressure situations.


Pay Rate Range:

$ 80-87.50/hr.
