Detailed Job Description:
Responsible for planning, scheduling and directing the daily activities of lower level housekeeping staff; develops effective working partnerships with stakeholders; delivers service commensurate with service level agreements; promotes employee development and motivation through feedback and coaching; assists in mediating disputes; manages risk through enforcement of policies and adherence to procedures; identifies opportunities for process and/ or service improvement; responsible for the accuracy of timekeeping, inventory, and other administrative records; may assist in managing vendor contracts. Works primarily first shift, but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate; may require on-call holiday rotation; may work overtime; subject to 24-hour emergency call. In accordance with the Disaster Preparedness and University State of Emergency Policy 6.17, this position has been designated as essential short-term status and alternate long-term status. Will require the successful completion of a criminal background check.

Required Experience:
REQUIRED: Three (3) years of relevant experience in custodial operations.
STRONGLY DESIRED: Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of custodial cleaning business. High standards of honesty, integrity, trust, openness and respect for individuals. Flexibility, good interpersonal skills, and self-direction. Proven ability to build a strong team. Ability to manage conflict effectively. Strong customer service skills. Working proficiency with basic Microsoft office software and other computer software. Comfortable with I-Pad use and CMMS and Kronos work management software. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Demonstrated proficiency in use of cleaning equipment.
Additional Information:
The work hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 4:45 AM to 1:45 PM.
Must possess a valid driver's licenses.
The target hiring range for this job profile is $22.69-$29.83 per hour. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
