The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program offers an exciting opportunity as an accelerated entry-level position, aimed at preparing you for a rewarding Store Management role within 18-24 months. With our strong promote-from-within philosophy, you'll be positioned to advance to an Assistant Store Manager role upon successfully completing the initial 8-week training.

This program typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, including potential evenings and weekends. During your journey, you will work closely with store management to oversee a multi-million dollar business, providing valuable leadership and insights that contribute to the store's development and strategic growth.

You will have the chance to enhance the company's market share by engaging with large, commercial clients such as painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers who require significant volumes of our premium products.

As part of the position, you will engage with customers, which may include minors, and handle cash and electronic payment methods. Therefore, a criminal history review is necessary to ensure the safety and security of our employees and customers.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Must hold at least a bachelor's degree by the start of this development program.
  • Capacity, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift materials frequently up to 50 lbs. and on occasion up to 70 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • At least one (1) year in a leadership position, supervising others or leading teams.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented setting through work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
  • Previous experience selling paint and related products is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future career opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language is an asset.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, comprehending, and communicating in Spanish is a plus.
