The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting opportunity designed to prepare you for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. Our promote-from-within philosophy means that upon successful completion of the intensive 8-week training, you can advance to the position of Assistant Store Manager.
This role typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
As part of the program, you'll collaborate with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, contributing valuable leadership and insights to drive the store's development and strategy. You'll be equipped with knowledge about operations, clients, and internal strategies, positioning you to play a crucial role in the team's success. Your efforts will focus on expanding the company's market share by engaging large commercial users, such as painting contractors and manufacturers, who depend on our high-quality products.

Your responsibilities include: - Completing training objectives as outlined in the program.
- Supporting business strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
- Maintaining thorough product knowledge for effective customer recommendations.
- Building strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Handling store administration tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and safety protocols.
- Maintaining high visual merchandising and store condition standards.
- Assisting with employee training and performance management.
- Addressing and resolving customer and employee complaints.
- Partnering with the Store Manager for outside sales initiatives to boost market share.
Minimum Requirements: - Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Bachelor's degree required by the program start date.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications: - At least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, guiding teams.
- Background in team-oriented settings (work, extracurricular, military).
- Prior experience with paint and related products is a plus.
- Familiarity with timekeeping and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Willingness to relocate for career advancement opportunities.
- Proficiency in multiple languages, including Spanish, is an advantage.
